Electron Love Theory recently launched a promotional campaign on the site.  In less than a week,  Electron Love Theory’s U2 Electronic Tribute: Blue Sky Vertigo— feat. fourteen extraordinary female vocalists clocked in close to a thousand new fans from all over the globe.  Damn!  Apparently there are a lot of people out there who love U2.  And at least a thousand music lovers who dig the U2 covers from Blue Sky Vertigo.

The site also hosts a cool chat room/ IM technology so listeners from around the globe can talk about the show as it’s being broadcast.  Nice.

Coverville, a podcast that focuses on the best cover songs in the world, does it right.  Brian Ibbott, the man behind the microphone, has been making this show happen for a very long time.  He’s done over 700 podcasts, exposing tons of music fans to tons of cover songs by independent artists and major label types.  Coverville  consistently gets rave reviews and has won iTunes “Best of ’07 and ’08″ podcast award.   It’s a great show.

Electron Love Theory’s very first U2 cover, “With or Without You,” premiered on Coverville more than four years ago.  Coverville is now gearing up to do an entire podcast featuring the music from U2 Electronic Tribute: Blue Sky Vertigo.  The show will also debut the world premiere of “New Year’s Day (floracappella mix),” — a near a cappella remix featuring Flora McGill.  Flora recently won the title of “Seattle’s Best Female Jazz Vocalist.”  Girl can sing.
